SHEPHERD TENNIS INKS FOUR

SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV --Shepherd University tennis coach Chris Stambaugh announced today that four players have signed letters-of-intent to compete for the Rams in 2004-2005.

Whitney Flesher (Huntington, W.Va./Huntington) has two individual state titles to her credit. Playing at number one singles this past spring, she led the Highlanders to the AAA state championship title for 2004.

Sarah Eisel (Frostburg, Md./Beall) played in the number one slot for Beall this season and earned a spot on the All-Western Maryland League Tennis Team.

Bryan Corder (Elkins, W.Va./Elkins) also held down the number one position for his high school and achieved All-Conference honors the past three years.

Bobby Sisson (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville) played in the top spot for Hedgesville the last two years and qualified for the state tournament both times.

"This is a group of very dedicated and talented players," said Coach Stambaugh. "They will play a big role the next few years in helping to keep us on top of the West Virginia Conference. I'm very pleased to have each of these players join Shepherd."

The Shepherd University men's tennis team won back-to-back conference titles in 2002 and 2003 with a runner-up showing in 2004. The women's team won the conference championship in 2003.
