Lynch, Pirisino Honored
PRINCETON, WV, September 24---Junior running back Travis Lynch (Frankfort/Ridgeley, WV) of the Shepherd football team and junior outside hitter Kim Pirisino (John Carroll/Edgewood, MD) of the Ram volleyball team were recently honored by the West Virginia Conference.

Lynch was named WVIAC Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week after rushing 34 times for a career-high 190 yards and a touchdown to lead the Rams to a 33-26 win over East Stroudsburg. Lynch has rushed for over 100 yards in all four games.

Pirisino was named WVIAC Volleyball Player of the Week. She recorded a triple-double with 15 kills, 11 blocks, and 10 digs in Shepherd's 3-0 win over Bowie State. She also added 10 kills and 20 digs in a 3-1 win over conference foe West Virginia Wesleyan. Pirisino had a .425 hitting percentage for the week.
