CALLENS NAMED SHEPHERD HEAD MEN'S GOLF COACH

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University director of athletics Karl Wolf announced today that Craig Callens has been named the new head men's golf coach at Shepherd.

Callens, who also works as an assistant golf professional at Cress Creek Country Club in Shepherdstown, was a two-year member of the Sacramento State University golf team from 2000-02. He worked as a assistant golf professional at Cold Springs GCC in Placerville, California for three years before accepting a similar position at Cress Creek. Callens also spent a year a touring professional in 2004.

The Rams will open the spring season on March 29 at the Concord Invitational.
