SNOW WINS MEDALIST HONORS; RAMS PLACE EIGHTH AT GLENVILLE PARKERSBURG, W.Va. -- Junior Bryan Snow (Columbia, MD/Glenelg Country School) of the Shepherd University men's golf team edged West Liberty's Matt Hicks to take medalist honors at the 2005 Glenville State Invitational Golf Tournament on Monday. Shepherd placed eighth out of 12 teams in the tourney. Fairmont State took team honors. Snow shot a 71-72 for a two-day total of 143. Senior Jason Ferguson (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright HS) had a 154 (76-78), followed by sophomore Jesse Hoffman (Williamsport, MD/Williamsport HS) with a 155 (74-81). Freshman Nick Zaccaria (Shepherdstown, WV/Jefferson HS) added a 157 (78-79), while junior Spencer Byrd (Pocomoke, MD/Pocomoke HS) posted a 163 (82-81). The Rams return to action on September 26-27 when they travel to Davis for the WVIAC Central Regional Tournament. |
