2006: Team captain. Returns as starter at third base and pitcher.

2005: Started in all 42 games for the Rams. Earned First Team All-WVIAC honors as she batted .315 with 40 hits in 127 at-bats. Added 24 runs batted in and 22 runs scored. Belted 13 doubles and a triple. Drew a team-high 19 walks. Earned a 5-5 record with a 2.60 ERA. Had 45 strikeouts in 67.1 innings. Also named to the WVIAC All-Tournament team.

2004: Started in all 46 games for the Rams. Earned First Team All-WVIAC honors as she led the team with a .441 batting average with 67 hits in 152 at-bats. Added 32 runs batted in and 28 runs scored. Belted 17 doubles, three triples, and a home run. Her 67 hits and 17 doubles were new Shepherd single season records. Posted a 10-5 mark with 1.78 ERA. Recorded 59 strikeouts in 82.2 innings. Named to WVIAC All-Tournament team.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2003 graduate of the McDonogh School where she played softball for Mickey Deegan and Bridget Collins. Two-year letterwinner in softball. Member of the MIAA "A" conference champion team in 2001. Named 2001 Baltimore County Player of the Year in 2001.

Personal: Born 10-1-85. The daughter of Russ Zappacosta. Majoring in sports communications.
