SHEPHERD FALLS TO WESLEYAN
(SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV) -- Chris Cormier completed 15-of-29 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns to lead West Virginia Wesleyan to a 24-14 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC football action at Ram Stadium.
The Bobcats amassed 457 yards of total offense, while yielding only 240 yards of total offense to the Rams. Wesleyan also held a 41:24 to 18:36 time of possession advantage.
Senior quarterback Joel Gordon (Waynesboro, VA/Waynesboro) completed 11-of-25 passes for 155 yards, including a touchdown strike to Jamal Gardner (Staunton, VA/Robert E. Lee) of 20 yards.
The Shepherd defense was led by Ryan Price (Potomac/Woodbridge, VA) with 13 tackles, while Luke Benchoff (Williamsport/Williamsport, MD) added 11, and Matt Meadows (Hampshire/ Romney, WV) had 10 stops.
