SHEPHERD KNOCKS OFF HOOD

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. --Even without two starters, the Shepherd College women's tennis team managed to knock off Hood College by a score of 8-1. The Lady Rams were missing top player Catherine Daniel and number six Leigh Burch to illness.

Shepherd freshmen Jessi Clarke and Jennifer Kastle won their singles matches and combined for a come-from-behind 9-7 win in doubles to help secure a Shepherd victory.

Shepherd is now 5-1, while the Blazers fall to 2-1.
