WHEELING JESUIT EDGES SHEPHERD, 2-1 SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. --Wheeling Jesuit edged Shepherd University, 2-1, in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Elizabeth Liposky and an own goal. Shepherd scored at the 81:00 mark when senior midfielder Tara Roberts (Knoxville, MD) scored on an assist from senior defender/midfielder Erin Kinnear (Reisterstown, MD/ Fallston HS). Shepherd falls to 8-9-1 overall, 4-3-0 in conference play, while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 15-3-0, 6-0-0. The Rams return to action on next Wednesday when they host WVU Tech for a 3:00 p.m. contest. |
