SHEPHERD FALLS TO WHEELING JESUIT, 6-0

WHEELING, WV -- Shepherd University dropped a 6-0 decision to Wheeling Jesuit University on WVIAC women's soccer action at Wheeling Jesuit on Tuesday.

Senior midfielder Lauren Deschamps scored four goals and junior midfielder Rachel Napoli added four assists to pace the Wheeling Jesuit offense.

Freshman keeper Amy Bell (Frederick, MD/Linganore HS) recorded two saves in goal for the Rams. Lauren Lewicki (45:00) registered a pair of saves and Marisa Cotungo (24:24) added a save as the pair combined with Tina Dengler (20:36) on a shutout effort in goal for the Cardinals.

Shepherd falls to 5-5 overall, 3-2 in conference play, while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 8-2, 3-0. The Rams return to action next Wednesday when they travel to Columbia Union for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
