CORKRAN LEADS SHEPHERD WOMEN'S SOCCER PAST WILMINGTON

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Sophomore forward Jenn Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) scored three goals and added an assist to lead Shepherd University to a 6-4 win over Wilmington College in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Tuesday.

Senior midfielder Dana Kaufman (Hammonton, NJ/Oakcrest), sophomore defender Brandie DeWitt (Hagerstown, MD/South Hagerstown), and sophomore forward Kellie Wagner (Winchester, VA/ Sherando) also tallied goals for the Rams. Wagner added a pair of assists, while sophomore Stephanie Schroeder (Stephens City, VA/Sherando/Lord Fairfax CC) and senior forward Jamie Barthelemy (Leesburg, VA/ Stone Bridge) each had one.

Colby Bugda (2), Melissa Samio, and Begum Malali recorded goals for Wilmington.

Junior goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore) recorded three saves for the Rams, while Amanda Jenkins had four saves for Wilmington.

Shepherd improves to 4-2, while Wilmington falls to 5-2. The Rams return to action on Friday when they travel to Gannon for a noon contest.
