SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- University of Charleston edged Shepherd 2-1 in overtime in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. The game was played in quagmire-like conditions at Shepherd.
Shepherd's Amy Vagnoni (Westminster/Westminster, MD) forced the overtime session with a goal on a penalty kick at the 88:00 mark after Charleston's Arin Ingraham scored just before intermission at the 43:00 mark.
An unidentified Charleston player scored off a corner kick in overtime to give Charleston the win.
Amy Ridgely (Westminster/Westminster, MD) recorded 20 saves in goal for the Rams.
Shepherd falls to 4-15 overall, 1-5 in conference action. The Rams end regular season play on Friday with a 2:00 p.m. match against Salem International.
