SHEPHERD FALLS TO CHARLESTON, 4-1

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Jessica Meger scored two goals to lead the University to a 4-1 win over Shepherd College in women's soccer action in Charleston.

Maggie Cook-Garcia's goal at the 56:00 mark gave the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead. Meger added goals at the 65:00 mark and 79:00 amrk to extend the lead to 3-0.

Shepherd's goal came at the 80:00 mark when Amy Vagnoni (Westminster/ Westminster, MD) scored on an assist from Amanda Hartman (Westminster/Finksburg, MD).

Jessica Naylor tallied the final Charleston goal at the 81:00 mark.

Shepherd goalie Amy Ridgely (Westminster/Westminster, MD) recorded 16 saves for the Rams, while Kelly Bourck had 13 saves for the Golden Eagles.
