![]() SHEPHERD BLANKS TECH, 4-0 SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Freshman forward Jenn Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point HS) scored a pair of goals and senior defender/midfielder Erin Kinnear (Bel Air, MD/Fallston HS) added a pair of assists to lead Shepherd University to a 4-0 win over WVU Tech in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore midfielder Courtney McCauley (Charles Town, WV/Jefferson HS) opened the scoring on an assist from Kinnear at the 33:34 mark. The Rams took a 2-0 lead into halftime when junior forward Lauren Cepko (Ellicott City, MD/Howard HS) scored on a feed from freshman midfielder Kellie Wagner (Winchester, VA/Sherando HS) at the 36:42 mark. Corkran added her pair of goals in the second half with Kinnear assisting on one. Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore HS) recorded the shutout for the Rams. Amber Keefer had 13 saves in goal for the Golden Bears. Shepherd improves to 9-9-1, 5-3-0 in conference play, while WVU Tech falls to 2-8-0, 1-6-0. The win virtually assures a home playoff game in the WVIAC Tournament for the Rams. Notes: The nine wins tied the school record for most wins in a season (2003, 2004). The five conference wins set a new school single season mark eclipsing the old mark of four set in 2003 and 2004. The shutout win was the seventh of the season for the Rams, also a school mark.
