Erin Wilkinson scored three goals and added an assist to lead Shepherd to a 7-2 win over Southern Virginia.

SHEPHERD ROUTS SOUTHERN VIRGINIA

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va -- Erin Wilkinson (Fairfax Station, VA/W.T. Woodson HS) scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Shepherd College to a 7-2 win over Southern Virginia in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Ashley Gossert (Keedysville, MD/Hagerstown CC), Lauren Cepko (Ellicott City, MD/Howard HS), Maria Brown (Washington, DC/ Elizabeth Seton HS), and Shannon Leighty (Carneys Point, NJ/ Penns Grove HS) each added single goals.

Theresa Ryan (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven HS) and Kyla Heimburger (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS) added two assists each, while Erin Kinnear (Bel Air, MD/ Fallston HS) also posted an assist.

Shawna Gunn and Lindsie Butler had goals for Southern Virginia.

Senior Amy Ridgely (Westminster, MD/Westminster HS) recorded three saves in goal for the Rams. Erin Schmucker had 13 saves for Southern Virginia.

Shepherd improves to 4-7-0, while Southern Virginia falls to 9-3-0. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host WVU-Tech for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
