SHEPHERD WOMEN'S SOCCER EDGES SHENANDOAH, 2-1

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Freshman midfielder Megan Graf (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) scored on an assist from sophomore forward Jenn Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) at the 44:00 mark to lift Shepherd University to a 2-1 win over Shenandoah University in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday.

Shepherd grabbed a 1-0 lead at the 10:00 mark when junior defender/midfielder Lauren Kinnear (Bel Air, MD/Fallston) scored on a pass from Corkran.

Megan Clark scored an unassisted goal for Shenandoah at the 30:00 mark to tie the game at 1-1.

Junior goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore) recorded one save for the Rams, while Lauren Elliott posted nine saves for the Hornets.

Shepherd improves to 6-7-0, while Shenandoah drops to 2-9-0. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel Seton Hill for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
