WINCHESTER, Va. -- Sophomore midfielder Courtney McCauley (Charles Town, WV/Jefferson HS) scored the game's only goal on an assist from sophomore defender/midfielder Lauren Kinnear (Reisterstown, MD/Fallston HS) at the 22:23 mark to lift Shepherd University to a 1-0 win over host Shenandoah University in women's soccer action on Monday. The triumph was the sixth straight shutout victory for the Rams.

Shepherd outshot the Hornets 11-2 and held a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore HS) recorded one save in the shutout effort for the Rams. Lauren Elliott (1) and Megan Clark (3) combined for four saves in goal for the Hornets.
