SHEPHERD DROPS 3-2 DECISION TO SETON HILL

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Seton Hill University held off Shepherd University for a 3-2 victory in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Sunday.

Shepherd took a 1-0 lead at the 1:26 mark on an unassisted goal by senior forward Erin Wilkinson (Fairfax Station, VA/ W.T. Woodson HS).

Seton Hill tied the game on a Ryanne Forcht goal at the 24:20 mark. Christy Perger added an unassisted tally at the 32:26 mark to give the Griffins a 2-1 lead. Minutes later, Jaime Fogle scored to give Seton Hill a 3-1 advantage at the break.

Wilkinson scored on a feed from sophomore forward Jamie Barthelemy (Leesburg, VA/Stone Bridge HS) at the 83:20 mark to get the Rams to within a goal at 3-2. Shepherd applied the pressure in the game's final minutes, but Seton Hill held on for the win.

Freshman Amy Bell (Frederick, MD/Linganore HS) had five saves in goal for the Rams, while Jaime Hickton recorded four saves for the Griffins.

Shepherd falls to 2-4 on the season, while Seton Hill improves to 4-5. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Southern Virginia for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
