SHEPHERD SHUTS OUT OHIO VALLEY VIENNA, W.Va. -- Freshman forward Jennifer Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point HS) scored a pair of goals to lead Shepherd University to a 7-0 win over Ohio Valley University in WVIAC women's soccer action at Ohio Valley on Saturday. Junior midfielder Dana Kaufman (Hammonton, NJ/Oakcrest HS), senior midfielder Tara Roberts (Knoxville, MD), junior defender Katie Moore (Shenandoah Junction, WV/Jefferson HS), sophomore midfielder Brittany Sweeney (Rockville, MD/Magruder HS), and freshman midfielder Kellie Wagner (Winchester, VA/Sherando HS) also added goals for the Rams. Sweeney and sophomore midfielder Courtney McCauley (Charles Town, WV/Jefferson HS) each added a pair of assists. Moore and sophomore defender/midfielder Lauren Kinnear (Reisterstown, MD/Fallston HS) also recorded assists. Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore HS) recorded her second shutout of the year for the Rams. Shepherd improves to 3-6-1 on the year, 1-2-0 in WVIAC play, while Ohio Valley falls to 2-6-0, 0-2-0. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host Carlow for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
