NORTHWOOD EDGES SHEPHERD, 1-0

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Amy Snyder's unassisted goal at the 60:18 mark lifted Northwood University to a 1-0 win over Shepherd University in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

Shepherd held a 10-to-6 shot advantage, but the Timberwolves held tough for the victory.

Caroline Bonynge had seven saves in a shutout effort for Northwood, while freshman goalkeeper Amy Bell (Frederick, MD/Linganore HS) recorded six saves for the Rams.

Shepherd falls to 2-3 overall, while Northwood improves to 4-1-2. The Rams return to action on Sunday when they host Seton Hill for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
