SHEPHERD WOMEN FALL TO MILLERSVILLE

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Millersville University handed Shepherd University a 3-0 setback in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Wednesday afternoon.

Millersville opened the scoring at the 10:00 mark when they scored on an own goal.

Madison Vogel added an unassisted tally at the 31:00 mark to give Millersville a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Rebecca Dickinson added a goal in the 80th minute to complete the scoring.

Millersville outshot Shepherd, 14-to-6, and held a 9-to-6 advantage in corner kicks.

Shepherd goalie Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore) recorded 10 saves for the Rams, while Karrine Riggins had two saves for the Marauders.

Shepherd falls to 5-6-0, while Millersville improves to 2-6-2. The Rams return to action on Saturday for an 11:00 a.m. conference matchup against University of Charleston.
