SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Daphne Salick scored two goals and assisted on two others to lead Georgia Court to a 5-0 win over Shepherd College in women's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon.
Kimberly Peterson opened the scoring at the 9:00 mark when she scored on a feed from Salick to give Georgian Court a 1-0 lead. Peterson returned the favor and assisted on a Salick's goal at the 17:00 mark to increase the lead to 2-0. Mary Mewherter added an unassisted goal to give the Lions a 3-0 advantage at the break.
Georgian Court added insurance goals in the second half when Maria Kaps scored on a assist from Salick at the 50:00 mark and Salick completed the scoring with an unassisted tally at the 64:00 mark.
Amy Ridgely (Westminster/Westminster, MD) recorded 16 saves in goal for the Rams, while Meghan McCarthy registered eight saves for the Lions.
Shepherd falls to to 2-11 overall, while Georgian Court improves to 4-7-3.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Ohio Valley for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
