SHEPHERD WOMEN FALL TO GANNON, 5-1 ERIE, Pa. -- Jamie Shadd scored two goals to lead Gannon University to a 5-1 win over Shepherd University in women's soccer action at Gannon on Friday afternoon. Colleen Schwarz, Megan Joint, and Laura Piazza added single tallies for Gannon. Shepherd' s goal came at the 55:07 mark when sophomore midfielder Kellie Wagner (Winchester, VA/ Sherando) scored on a feed from sophomore forward Jennifer Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point). Shepherd goalie Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore) recorded seven saves, while Holly Johnson had three saves for the Golden Knights. Shepherd falls to 4-3, while Gannon improves to 3-4. The Rams continue on the road to face Mercyhurst on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. contest. |
