SENATORS EDGE SHEPHERD, 2-1

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Davis and Elkins edged Shepherd University, 2-1, in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Saturday.

Adelina Abreau scored on an assist from Jessica Notes at the 38:28 mark to give the Senators a 1-0 lead.

Davis and Elkins increased its lead to 2-0 on an unassisted goal by Emile Humes at the 61:32 mark.

Junior forward Lauren Cepko (Ellicott City, MD/Howard HS) scored on a feed from freshman forward Jennifer Corkran (Baltimore, MD/ Sparrows Point HS) at the 68:00 mark for the game's final tally.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore HS) recorded nine saves for the Rams, whiel Amanda Chadwick had five saves for the Senators.

Shepherd falls to 1-4-1, 0-1-0 in conference play, while Davis & Elkins improves to 3-4-0, 1-1. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Seton Hill for a 3:00 p.m. matchup.
