SHEPHERD EDGES DAVIS & ELKINS

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va -- Erin Wilkinson (Fairfax Station, VA/W.T. Woodson HS) scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner with 21 seconds remaining in regulation, to lift Shepherd College to a 2-1 win over Davis & Elkins in WVIAC women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Shepherd took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Wilkinson scored at the 42:30 mark on a feed from Kyla Heimburger (Purcellville, VA/Loudoun Valley HS).

Davis & Elkins tied the scored at the 65:00 mark when Adelina Abreu scored on an assist from Brandi Nichols to tie the game and set the stage for Wilkinson's final minute heroics.

Amy Ridgely (Westminster, MD/ Westminster HS) recorded two saves in goal for the Rams, while Emily Nalls stopped one shot for the Senators.

Shepherd improves to 3-5-0 overall, 1-2-0 in conference action.

The Rams return to action on Thursday when they travel to Salem International for a 3:00 p.m. conference matchup.
