SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Alison Jones' first half goal provided the margin of victory for Davis & Elkins in a 1-0 win over Shepherd College in women's soccer action at Ram Stadium on Monday afternoon.
Jones scored on a pass from Kasie Thomas at the 21:08 mark of the game.
Davis and Elkins held a 16-15 edge in shots and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Shepherd goalie Amy Ridgely (Westminster/Westminster, MD) recorded 10 saves, while Emily Nalls had nine saves for the Senators.
The loss drops Shepherd to 2-8-0 overall, 0-4-0 in conference action. The Rams return to action on October 17 when they host Southern Virginia for a 4:00 p.m. contest at Ram Stadium.
