RAMS DOWN COLUMBIA UNION, 5-0

TAKOMA PARK, MD -- Senior forward Erin Wilkinson (Fairfax Station, VA/ W.T. Woodson HS) scored a pair of goals to lead Shepherd University to a 5-0 win over Columbia Union in women's soccer action at Columbia Union on Wednesday evening.

Junior defender/midfielder Erin Kinnear (Bel Air, MD/Fallston HS) gave Shepherd a 1-0 lead at 43:00 mark on an assist from senior forward Maria Brown (Washington, DC/Elizabeth Seton).

Sophomore midfielder Dana Kaufman (Hammonton, NJ/Oakcrest HS) scored on a feed from junior forward Ashley Gossert (Keedysville, MD/Hagerstown CC) at the 51:00 mark.

Wilkinson scored her first goal at the 65:00 mark on a feed from freshman defender/midfielder Amanda Smith (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park HS). Sophomore forward Jamie Barthelemy (Leesburg, VA/ Stone Bridge HS) scored at the 71:00 mark and Wilkinson scored the game's final goal at the 77:00 mark. Junior defender/midfielder Erin DeHenzel (Bowie, MD/ Archbishop Spalding HS) assisted on the final two tallies.

Lorian Anderson had 25 saves in goal for the Pioneers, while freshman goalkeeper Amy Bell (Frederick, MD/Linganore HS) had no saves in a shutout effort for the Rams.

Shepherd improves to 6-5. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Davis & Elkins for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
