 RYAN LIFTS SHEPHERD PAST CONCORD SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va -- Senior co-captain Theresa Ryan (Baltimore, MD/Loch Raven HS) scored an unassisted goal at the 80:43 mark to lift Shepherd College to a 2-1 win over Concord College in WVIAC women's soccer action at Shepherd on Sunday. The Rams opened the scoring at the 38:00 mark on a own goal to take a 1-0 lead. Concord tied the game at 1-1 when Leanna Neuner scored an unassisted goal at the 77:55 mark to set the stage for Ryan's game-winner. Senior goalkeeper Amy Ridgely (Westminster, MD/ Westminster HS) recorded five saves for the Rams, including two in the final minutes of the game. Kim Chipps had four saves for Concord. Shepherd improves to 9-9-0, 4-4-0 in WVIAC action, while Concord falls to 6-8-0, 4-4-0. The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Wilmington for a 2:00 p.m. non-conference matchup.
