ATHENS, W.Va. -- Carol Bonnes scored two goals to lead Concord College to a 5-0 win over Shepherd in first round women's soccer action of the WVIAC Tournament.
The Mountain Lions also got a two-assist, one-goal effort from Hannah Ashton. Ashton scored the game-winning goal in overtime in Concord's 3-2 win over the Rams at Shepherd on October 6.
The two teams were even in corner kicks at four each, while Concord held a 30-13 shot advantage.
Shepherd goalie Amy Ridgely (Westminster/Westminster, MD) recorded 13 saves for the Rams, while Kimberly Chipps had 12 saves for Concord.
Shepherd completes its season with a 4-13-0 overall record, including a 1-5-0 mark in WVIAC play. Concord advances to face the winner of the Charleston-WV Wesleyan game on Wednesday.
