BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Junior forward Erin Wilkinson (Fairfax Station, VA/W. T. Woodson HS) scored three goals to lead Shepherd College to a 4-1 win over Bridgewater College at Bridgewater on Saturday.
Wilkinson scored a pair of goals in the first half and added another late in the contest to complete the hat trick.
Sophomore forward Ashley Gossert (Keedysville, MD/Hagerstown CC) scored Shepherd's other tally.
Freshman midfielder Kyla Heimburger (Purcellville, VA/ Loudoun Valley HS) had two assists, while senior midfielder/defender Theresa Ryan (Baltimore, MD/ Loch Raven HS) and freshman midfielder Katie Moore (Shenandoah Junction, WV/Jefferson HS) also added single assists.
Bridgewater's goal came on an unassisted score by Jenna Shoaf.
Senior goalkeeper Amy Ridgely (Westminster, MD/ Westminster HS) recorded five saves for the Rams, while Lisa Belella had 10 saves for the Eagles.
Shepherd improves to 1-2, while Bridgewater falls to 0-3.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Gallaudet University at 4:00 p.m.
