SHEPHERD WOMEN'S SOCCER BLANKS BRIDGEWATER, 4-0 SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Freshman forward Stephanie Schroeder (Stephens City, VA/Sherando/Lord Fairfax CC) scored two goals and assisted on another to lead Shepherd University to a 4-0 win over Bridgewater College in women's soccer action at Shepherd on Friday afternoon. Sophomore midfielder Kellie Wagner (Winchester, VA/Sherando) added a goal and an assist, while sophomore Jennifer Corkran (Baltimore, MD/Sparrows Point) also netted a goal. Freshman forward Whitney Reed (Woodbridge, VA/C.D. Hylton) and senior forward Jamie Barthelemy (Leesburg, VA/Stone Bridge) also tallied assists. Junior goalkeeper Amy Bell (New Market, MD/Linganore) had two saves for the Rams, while Megan Jarrell had 10 saves for the Eagles. Shepherd improves to 3-2-0, while Bridgewater falls to 0-3-0. The Rams return to action next Tuesday when they host Wilmington for a 4 p.m. contest. |
