SHEPHERD FALLS TO WHEELING JESUIT

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Katie Repicky scored a game-high 20 points to lead Wheeling Jesuit to a 66-59 win over Shepherd University in WVIAC women's basketball action on Saturday at the Butcher Athletic Center.

Lauren Hansen added 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Jade Eckenberry added 11 points, three assists, and a game-high five steals.

Junior forward Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/ Tabb HS) came off the bench to lead the Rams with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior forward LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) had 13 points and 11 rebounds, while freshman guard Nylia Zamora (Miami, FL/Barbara Goldman HS) added 11 points and eight boards. Senior guard Anna Lashway (Guilford, VT/ Brattleboro Union HS) contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.

Shepherd rallied to within six points at 55-49 on a Landrum layup with 4:29 remaining. Wheeling hit on 8-of-13 free throws in the game's final minutes to hold on for the win.

The Rams drop to 2-7, 1-1 in conference action, while Wheeling Jesuit improves to 6-3, 1-1. The Rams return to action on Monday when they host West Liberty for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
