WHEELING, W.Va. -- Cassie Murray (Allegany/Cumberland, MD) scored a game-high 25 points to lead Shepherd College to a 76-69 win over Wheeling Jesuit in WVIAC women's basketball action on Saturday night.
Murray connected on 10-of-18 shots, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. Ashana Cowans (Robinson/Fairfax, VA) (14 points) and Ashley van Norden (Williamsport/Hagerstown, MD) (11) were also in double figures. Makia Staves (Bishop McNamara/Ft. Washington, MD) added nine points and nine rebounds.
Wheeling Jesuit was led by Amber Ellison with 14 points and Kwame Clark with 12 rebounds.
The Rams improve to 6-3, 2-0 in conference action, while the Wheeling Jesuit falls to 6-2, 0-1. Shepherd remains on the road to face West Liberty on Monday for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
