SHEPHERD TOPPLES WEST CHESTER, 71-56

WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- Sophomore forward Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) and senior forward Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS) each scored 17 points to lead Shepherd University to a 71-56 win over West Chester University at the West Chester University Alumni Association Women's Basketball Classic on Sunday afternoon.

Harkins was a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor. She posted a great all-around effort with eight rebounds, five steals, four blocked shots, and three assists. Landrum was 8-of-14 from the floor and also added four rebounds and four steals.

Freshman guard Krissy Grosselin (Dayton, OH/Ramstein (Germany) HS) added 13 points and six rebounds for the Rams.

Dominique Lewis scored 15 points to lead the Golden Rams. Elise McCloy added 11 points while Dominique Deveaux had 10. McCloy also grabbed a game-high nine rebounds.

Harkins and Landrum were both named to the All-Tournament Team. 

Shepherd improves to 4-3, while West Chester drops to 2-6. The Rams return to action on Dec. 19 when they host Southern Connecticut State for a 5:00 p.m. contest.
