JOHNSTOWN, Pa. -- All five starters hit in double figures to lead host University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown to an 87-67 win over Shepherd University on Monday night.
Crystal Andrews scored a game-high 18 points to lead Pitt-Johnstown (19-7). Jacklyn Schirf and Samantha Conner added 16 points each, Jessica Zapf added 12, while Allison Krischer tossed in 10. Zapf also grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
Senior forward Casey Landrum led the Rams (13-12) with 16 points. Freshman guard Krissy Grosselin added 14, sophomore guard Molly Land had 12, while junior center Danielle Costello added 10. Land and Costello tied for team-high rebounding honors with six each, while sophomore guard Rebecca Frece dished out a game-high six assists.
UPJ took a 55-36 halftime lead behind a 51.6 (16-31) first half field goal percentage.
The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host Alderson-Broaddus for a 6:00 p.m. contest
