SHEPHERD TROUNCES UDC WASHINGTON, DC -- Shepherd used a balanced scoring attack en route to an 83-54 win over UDC in women's basketball action at UDC on Saturday. Cassie Murray (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Rams. She was 4-of-5 from three-point range. Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg HS) added 18 points behind a 4-for-4 effort from beyond the arc. Ashana Cowans (Fairfax, VA/Robinson HS) and Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/ Tabb HS) each added 12 points. Landrum also grabbed six boards. Gaynell Reese (Maple Heights, OH/Bedford HS) added 10 points and six rebounds, while LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) hauled down eight rebounds and had two blocked shots. Shepherd improves to 5-4. The Rams return to action on January 5 when they travel to West Virginia State for a 6:00 p.m. contest. |
