CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gail Siemer (Chesapeake/Severna Park, MD) scored a game-high 15 points to lead Shepherd College to a 73-52 win over the University of Charleston in women's basketball action at Charleston.
Barb Oller (Centreville/Centreville, VA) and Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg/Gettysburg, PA) each added 11 points for the Rams. Oller also added four assists and five steals. Makia Staves (Bishop McNamara/Ft. Washington, MD) grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.
Jennifer Turner scored 14 points and Nicole Barnes added 12 to lead the University of Charleston.
Shepherd improves to 10-5, 6-2 in conference action, while Charleston falls to 7-6, 5-1. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host Bluefield State for a 6:00 p.m. contest at the Butcher Athletic Center.
