SHEPHERD FALLS TO TUSCULUM

NASSAU, BAHAMAS -- Tusculum handed Shepherd University a 74-62 setback in women's basketball action at the Cruzin Classic in Nassau, Bahamas on Saturday.

Julie Maples led Tusculum with a game-high 21 points. A.J. Johnson added a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) led the Rams with 17 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Anna Lashway (Guilford, VT/Brattleboro Union HS) added 15 points and nine rebounds, while LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) had 14 points. Rebecca Frece (Springfield, VA/Annandale HS) was also in double figures with 10 points.

Shepherd falls to 1-6. The Rams return to action on January 5 when they host West Chester for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
