SHEPHERD HOLDS OFF TECH MONTGOMERY, WV -- Cassie Murray (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) scored 17 points and Gaynell "Nippy" Reese (Maple Heights, OH/Bedford HS) added 16 to lead Shepherd College to a 72-67 win over WVU-Tech in WVIAC women's basketball action at Tech on Thursday. Lindsay Stewart (Romney, WV/Hampshire HS) was also in double figures with 11 points. LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds. Taria Jordan scored a game-high 29 points to lead Tech. Armakia Mariner added 19. The Rams improve to 11-6, 7-2 in conference play, while Tech falls to 3-9, 0-6. |
