SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Armakia Mariner scored 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead WVU-Tech to a 58-51 win over Shepherd College in WVIAC women's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Thursday night.
Rosalyn Ricketts added 11 points for the Lady Bears.
Danielle Murray (Martinsburg/ Martinsburg, WV) paced the Rams with 16 points and seven rebounds. Cassie Murray (Allegany/ Cumberland, MD) added 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four steals, while Brianne Hamilton (St. Maria Goretti/Martinsburg, WV) added a team-high nine boards.
Shepherd falls to 7-9, 4-4 in conference action, while WVU-Tech moves to 6-7, 1-4. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Charleston at 6:00 p.m.
