SHEPHERD WOMEN FALL TO SHIPPENSBURG

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shanna Oaddams posted game-highs 33 points and 12 rebounds to lead Shippensburg University to a 96-77 win over Shepherd University in women's basketball action at Shippensburg on Monday night.

Joining Oaddams in double figures for the Red Raiders were Caitlin MacPherson (17 points), Megan Fogle (16), Phyllis Bessick (14) and Kim Strickland (10).

Sophomore guard Tiffany Acker (Mount Solon, VA/Buffalo Gap HS) led the Rams with 17 points on a 7-of-15 shooting effort, including 3-of-6 from three-point range. Sophomore forward Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) added 16 points and three blocks, while senior forward Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS) and senior center LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) also hit for double digits with 10 points each. Fisher also hauled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Shepherd falls to 1-2, while Shippensburg improves to 3-0. The Rams return to action on Dec. 1 when they travel to Virginia State for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
