MURRAY GARNERS WVIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS PRINCETON, WV -- Senior guard Cassie Murray (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) of the Shepherd College women's basketball team was named WVIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for February 9-15 after leading the Rams to a 2-0 week. Murray averaged 21.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in wins over UDC and Davis & Elkins. Her 23-point effort against UDC moved her into second place on the SC all-time scoring chart with 1393 career points. She also moved into the Rams' career top five in rebounding with 670 career rebounds. For the week, Murray drained 13 of 24 field goals and 10 of 11 free throws.  |
