 RAMS DOWN OHIO VALLEY SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV -- Lindsay Stewart (Romney, WV/Hampshire HS) scored 20 points to lead Shepherd College to a 79-61 win over Ohio Valley in WVIAC women's basketball action at Shepherd on Thursday night. Cassie Murray (Cumberland, MD/Allegany HS) added 19 points and eight rebounds, while Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg, PA/ Gettysburg HS) had 10 points and seven boards. LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and Danielle Murray (Martinsburg, WV/Martinsburg HS) contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Latissha Isby scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Scots. Candace Gist added 13 points, while Stacy Mielecki had 11. Shepherd improves to 13-8, 9-4 in conference play, while Ohio Valley falls to 3-16, 2-8. The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Glenville State for a 5:15 p.m. conference matchup. |
