SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- LaToya Fisher (Seneca Valley/ Germantown, MD) scored a team-high 17 points to lead Shepherd College to a 67-62 win over Mount Aloysius in women's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Tuesday night.
Fisher connected on 6-of-7 shots from the floor and was 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. She also grabbed eight rebounds.
Ashana Cowans (Robinson/Fairfax, VA) added 15 points, while Cassie Murray (Allegany/ Cumberland, MD) added 11. Brianne Hamilton (Goretti/Martinsburg, WV) had a game-highs of 11 rebounds and five assists to go along with five points.
Ginger Fanelli had a game-high 32 points to lead the Mounties. She also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Shepherd improves to 2-5, while Mount Aloysius falls to 3-3. The Rams return to action on Friday when they host UDC in a 6:00 p.m. contest.
