SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Carrie Triplett scored 22 points and Tracy Wyatt added 21 to lead Glenville State College to a 79-48 win over Shepherd College in quarterfinal action of the WVIAC Women's Basketball Tournament on Wednesday night at the Charleston Civic Center.
Cassie Murray (Allegany/Cumberland, MD) led Shepherd with 12 points. Ashley van Norden (Williamsport/Hagerstown, MD) added nine points three assists, and two steals. LaToya Fisher (Seneca Valley/Germantown, MD) added six points and hauled down a game-high eight rebounds. Brianne Hamilton (St. Maria Goretti/Martinsburg, WV) and Ashana Cowans (Robinson/ Fairfax, VA) also added six points apiece.
Shepherd completes its season with a 13-16 record, while Glenville improves to 25-3. The Pioneers advance to the semifinal round to face Charleston on Friday.
