SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. -- Gail Siemer (Chesapeake/Severna Park, MD) scored game-high 14 points to lead Shepherd to a 58-35 win over Fairmont State in women's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center.
Siemer scored nine of her points in the first half as the Rams moved out to a 27-7 advantage at the break. Cassie Murray (Allegany/Cumberland, MD) added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Rams, while Brianne Hamilton (St. Maria Goretti/Martinsburg, WV) grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds.
Kristen Gattuso scored eight points and Jennifer Wilson hauled down 15 rebounds to lead the Fairmont State attack.
The Rams improve to 8-4, 4-1 in conference action, while the Lady Falcons fall to 6-5, 0-4. Shepherd returns to action on Monday when it hosts Alderson-Broaddus for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
