FINDLAY DOWNS SHEPHERD

FINDLAY, OH -- Michelle Vorst scored a game-high 20 points to lead host University of Findlay to a 73-53 win over Shepherd University in the consolation game of the Towne Place Suites Tip-Off Tournament.

Vorst also hauled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Findlay (2-1). Katie Greisinger added 12 points, while Carrie Bergman had 11. Jennifer Winright dished out a game-high nine assists.

Freshman forward Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) led the Rams with 11 points, five rebounds, and five blocked shots in her first career start. Junior forward LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) added nine points, while senior guard Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg HS) and freshman guard Rebecca Frece (Springfield, VA/Annandale HS) chipped in with eight apiece.

Shepherd falls to 0-3. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Shippensburg for a 6:00 p.m. game.
