Costello, Zamora Lead Shepherd Women's Basketball To 81-60 Win Over Dowling

CALIFORNIA, Pa. -- Shepherd's Danielle Costello (Middletown, MD/Middletown/FCC) scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Nylia Zamora (MIama, FL/Barbara Goldman HS) added 11 points and a game-high 12 rebounds to lead the Rams (1-1) to an 81-60 women's basketball victory over Dowling
(0-2) in the California University Holiday Inn Classic.
Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/ Tabb HS) and Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) also added 10 points each for the Rams, who used a 10-point run late in the first half to break loose for a 46-34 lead at halftime. The Rams extended the lead to 20 points in the first four minutes of the second half and cruised to the win.
Dowling was led by Tiffany Davis with 20 points and Natasha Page with 10.
Dowling will face California in the final game of the three-day tournament Sunday at 2 p.m. Cal topped Shepherd in Friday's first game, 77-72.
