RAMS DOWN SENATORS FOR FIRST WIN

ELKINS, W.Va. -- Three Rams scored in double figures as Shepherd University handed Davis and Elkins a 66-54 defeat in WVIAC women's basketball action at Elkins on Saturday.

Freshman guard Molly Land (Hope, IN/ Hauser HS) came off the bench to score a career-high 13 points to pace the Rams. Land hit on 5-of-8 shots from the floor, including 3-of-5 from three-point range. Senior guard Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg, PA/ Gettysburg HS) and freshman forward Laura Harkins (York, PA/ Spring Grove HS) each added 10 points. Harkins also tied junior center LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/ Seneca Valley HS) with nine rebounds.

Nikki Yokum scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Senators.

Shepherd improves to 1-4 overall, 1-0 in conference action. Davis and Elkins falls to 2-3, 0-2.
