SHEPHERD WINS THIRD STRAIGHT

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Cassie Murray (Allegany/Cumberland, MD) scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Rams to a 54-46 win over Concord in WVIAC women's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at the Butcher Athletic Center.

Makia Staves (Bishop McNamara/Ft. Washington, MD) added nine points and six rebounds, while Gail Siemer (Cheaspeake/Severna Park, MD) tossed in eight points and also had six rebounds.

Concord was led by Jennifer Pollinger with 14 points and Renee Gagnier with 10 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

Shepherd improves to 12-5, 8-2 in conference action, while Concord falls to 8-7, 3-4. The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to West Virginia State for a 5:15 p.m. contest.
