SHEPHERD DOWNS ALDERSON-BROADDUS

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Junior forward Casey Landrum (Yorktown, VA/Tabb HS) came off the bench to score a game-high 23 points to lead Shepherd University to an 81-68 win over Alderson-Broaddus in WVIAC women's basketball action at the Butcher Athletic Center on Tuesday night.

Landrum had the red-hot hand for the Rams, connecting on 9-of-10 shots from the floor and adding a perfect 5-for-5 effort at the free throw line.

Senior guard Carrie Kunkel (Gettysburg, PA/Gettysburg HS) added 17 points with nine coming from three-point range. Junior center LaToya Fisher (Germantown, MD/Seneca Valley HS) had 12 points and tied freshman forward Laura Harkins (York, PA/Spring Grove HS) for team-high rebounding honors with six boards.

Shepherd shot a season-high 53.4 percent from the floor en route to the win. Shepherd also held a 42-30 rebound advantage.

Lisa Davis led Alderson-Broaddus with 13 points. Stacey Tackett and Ashley Rapp each added 11, while Laura Zaukaite grabbed a game-high eight rebounds to go along with six points.

Shepherd improves to 5-8 overall, 4-2 in conference action, while Alderson-Broaddus drops to 5-7, 2-3. The Rams return to action on Thursday when they host WVU Tech for a 6:00 p.m. contest.
